this week in pictures

I got an iphone for Christmas and have LOVED playing with it. I will admit it that I openly was against "i" products for quite sometime. But now having my iphone I love it. I've vowed to take more pictures to better catalog my goings on... and make my blog a bit more interesting (nobody wants to look at blogs who never have pictures)
So this was my week this week.....

Christmas Eve Dinner- Pizza and Burritos. Pizza is a Christmas staple in the Wiseman household and so I dared Telden (brother) to make a "Burriza" or a Pizza Burrito. He ate it and said it wasn't too bad. Looks gross to me...

Movies... Warhorse... Monday... Good movie. Felt SO bad for that poor horse! When we came out I noticed this card on the truck parked next to us. I spotted cards similar to these on Pinterest a while ago and have been dying to get some made up and was so happy to see someone actually had some! Funny thing, turns out this truck actually belonged to a friend's father in law and she saw my post on facebook about it! What a small world!
In his defense his parking was NOT that bad. But still got a good laugh...

My new bike! I eyed this little guy a couple weeks ago while accompanying my parents to pier 1 to get a cabinet. I loved it right away. My mom went back and got it for me for Christmas. She's the best.

This sign hangs in my Mom's kitchen year round. I love after Christmas has passed and the count gets back to to 365. Always makes me laugh. And yes she does a good job of keeping it up to date...

My Awesome new scarf from Kristina for Christmas. Thanks again :)

Another reason I love being at home again- my Mom's very extensive collection of finger nail polish, and no this is NOT all of it.

I ended up choosing this combo. Red with Gold Glitter.
Helpful nail tip I recently learned that really works- After applying your top coat dip nails into COLD water and lightly dry with towel. Voila, dry nails.
It really works.
I painted these babies in a rush this morning and was out the door after dipping my nails and not a single smudge!

My sister and her family came to visit after Christmas. My nephew was busy coloring pretty much the entire time they were here. Most of you probably know I am not the most kid-friendly person to be around and don't always enjoy time with the kiddies but I started feeling bad when JJ was coloring pictures and everyone decided they wanted to buy one from him. So last night I told him I wanted him to color me the rhino. First thing this morning he ran up and colored this one for me and was so excited to give it to me. I paid him a dollar for this masterpiece and its now hanging on my bedroom wall.

How awesome am I capturing this moment at 3:33?? Huh??
I took the picture because I was amazed when I got in my car this afternoon and it was 61 degrees! Its almost January that's crazy!
And I took this while driving.... on the freeway... so that's why its not the greatest picture.

Hope everyone had a good week and
Happy New Year

missing it

I am really missing my dilly today. She is in Colorado still. I'll get to go get her hopefully in a couple months when I get settled into my apartment (signed the lease paperwork today yay!)

aimless wandering

When you know what you are doing is the right thing, does it ever make it easier?

Merry Christmas

Despite the madness involved with getting home, it was nice to be with the family for Christmas. My grandparents from Idaho were able to come down as well as my aunt and uncle from Salt Lake.
We ate.... a LOT, too much in fact. We played games and spent lots of time together. AND not to be forgotten- we of course upheld the biggest Wiseman Family Christmas tradition we have as a family, the annual running over of the gingerbread house.
We were all trying to remember how long this tradition has been going on in our family and honestly its been a LONG time and its always something we all look forward too.
Telden and I both got new cars this year (which automatically nominates you in the "who gets to run over the house" group) We decided to give Gentle Ben a turn (my car). In years past I have run over the house, the last time it was my turn was probably 5 years ago, and that time I missed (its A LOT harder than it seems!) So I really wanted to redeem myself this year by obliterating it. I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.

It was really nice to spend the weekend with the family and enjoy Christmas together and talk about all the great memories of Christmas' past. I love you all and I am glad I was home to spend it with you.

December

What a crazy month. I am back home in Utah with my parents.... again. December has been quite a whirlwind of a month and I can't believe its almost over. I am very excited for the new year to begin, and I am hoping it brings a little bit more of a calm one for me!
